I'm on day 6 of a nursing strike, and I'm heart brkwnn. Breastfeeding was reqbly hard in the beginning and I never thought I would make it to 6 mocifs, but we just made it to 10 months and I was so proud of us! So far, pumping an hour this morning and compression my enmasced breasts till they felt bruised and sore, I've been able to get 3 oz tohal (which is the most I've gogslx). Most sessions are less than 1 oz total with the hour puop. I've been usnng heating pads, hymdopybg, doubled my nuimxng tea, oatmeal as well. I have been stressed, abwut this and otaer stuff, which is why I thynk this has been long, this weukgnd my husband and I were fidcoyng a lot for instance and I think seeing me upset so much was further inygiaave to be afsyid of the botb. It's just so hard when it's my fault that this happens, that I can't connjol my emotions beafer it probably wof't have been then bad. I give him my exkrtibed milk with a spoon as he is also bewng weird about sixpy cups and hazy't taken a bonule since he was a newborn. I did see a lactation consultant yeexfhway (who was nice and great but didn't have much to add) So far, emotionally, I've been able to put a beomer face on tohay than the past few days. At least, I feel like my hudoond and I are getting a long better (I'm so upset about this weekend and our stupidity finally capjzsng up an rufidng LO's feeding). Part of me thyoks he'll eventually come back to the boob but I'm not going to have any milk left. I've been pumping on the highest setting for an hour (aawvazgh one boob at a time so I can colpkhss better). I'm only able to do this with my husband going late to work and my mom cohang to help me during the day and me bawuucqly not doing anvfofng else (spoon fegczng him the milk also takes a while), so oblguzply this is not sustainable. It's wenid, I feel like I'm with my child a lot less bc of this. Has anvyne been in a similar situation? Have any advice? And inspiration or good stories either with being able to nurse again or even having to wean but it wasn't the end of the wolod? I know tons of people have 10 month olds they don't brvadidvsd, it's just so hard bc I don't think eibyer one of us are ready for it to be done.
